grilled pork steak

pork marinated in soy sauce, EVOO and montreal steak seasoning then grilled

Living in Florida, we are very fortunate that we get to grill outdoors even when the rest of the country is freezing.  I probably go through a propane tank at least every other month because I just grill so much.

I've always shared on my blog our love for pork.  Pork Steak is such a wonderful and flavorful cut of meat that cooks well in the grill. They come in large pieces and are inexpensive compared to Loin or Center Cut chops. This is why it makes a frequent showing on our dinner table.

I'm not much a "season heavy for grilling" type of person so when it comes to marinating, I like to keep it simple for that matter.  This is why this recipe calls for simplicity - EVOO, soy sauce and Montreal Steak seasoning. Why soy sauce? Well, not only does it give a wonderful flavor but it's also a meat tenderizer.

Here's a quick and easy recipe for Grilled Pork Steak:

3 bone-in pork steak, cut in half
1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil (EVOO)
2 Tbsp Montreal Steak seasoning

In a bowl, whisk soy sauce, EVOO and steak seasoning together.  Using a fork, poke holes on steak then arrange them in a large baking dish.  Pour marinade over steaks, cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes but no more than 1 hour. Grill each side on medium heat for 7-9 minutes. Don't worry if it's a tinge of pink still, it is done. Transfer to a platter and let it sit for 5 minutes before serving.

Enjoy this SARAPLICIOUS! dish.
